The Tribunal Officer will inform you of the Defendant's proposal for payment for your consideration. If both parties agree to a specific payment date or payment by instalments, then the Officer will prepare a settlement form for both parties to sign. The Tribunal will issue an award after the settlement is approved by the Presiding Officer. No hearing will be required.

If, however, both parties cannot agree on the mode or date of payment, then they will have to attend a hearing. The Defendant will have to apply for time to pay or apply to pay by instalments. The Presiding Officer will determine a fair method by which the Defendant must pay.
